Recumbent and Trike Workstand!

About me:

My name is Jim Greer and I am a bicycle rider like a lot of people out there. I live in Southern Oregon by way of Southern California, Florida and Nebraska.

Like just about everyone my age I have been riding a bicycle all my life. I started to ride seriously around 1970. Did a lot of centurys, did some USCF racing. Moved to Oregon and in 1999 I bought my first recumbent which was a Vision, then I had an Optima Links, Velokraft VK2, a trike and now Bacchetta.

I have done a lot of cross country touring and I am always out on my bent. I always do my own work on my bicycles and bents.

Like most of you I would figure out a way to set the bent up so I could work on it. I did a lot of thinking about a way to make a bike stand for bents and trikes.

After some trial and error and came up with my work stand. I built it so it could be broken down and carried in a box 33"X18"X7". It is made out of square tubing and most bents and trikes will fit on the work stand.

It has adjustment up and down, will extend out for long wheel bents, adjustment for the different chain stays and the yoke that the main boom sets on will rotate to fit the different angle booms.
